Grey wolf in the magazine Myslivost

The thesis deals with the tension between the hunting perspective and strict protection of the grey wolf in the context of the Czech Republic. Within the theoretical part, I construct an understanding of hunting from historical and contemporary practical perspectives, discuss its "traditional" conception, present the naturalistic arguments for the return of the wolf, its current distribution, legal protection and the obstacles that may hinder its return. At the same time, I further problematize the conflict between the return among local people and the discourse of strict wolf protection, in which elements of power asymmetry, based on foreign literature, stand out due to the imposition of dominant and hegemonic protection within the public space. With these assumptions in mind, I enter the subsequent critical discursive analysis of the journal Myslivost, published by the Czech- Moravian Hunting Union. For my work, I set out to unravel the modes of representation through which the Myslivost magazine constructs the social reality of the grey wolf, while also analysing the ideologue(s) that underpin and enable the legitimisation of the discourse in question. Legal regulation of hunting management

The diploma thesis focuses on the legal regulation of hunting and gamekeeping. The aim of the diploma thesis entitled "Legal regulation of hunting" is a broad summarization of the historical development and the correlated alterations of the legislative framework in gamekeeping. In order to gain a deeper understanding of the historical context, the thesis focuses on the development of gamekeeping legislation from the early Middle Ages to presently effective legal regulation. The implicit part of the thesis is the evaluation and the reflection of the legislation applied in practice. The overall conclusion contains a proposal for possible legislative changes de lege ferenda. The first part of the thesis gives an overview of the historical development and the early legal regulations of gamekeeping, utilizing the important legal acts, which presented fundamental changes to the legal framework of gamekeeping. The following part of the diploma thesis is devoted to the current state of the Czech legal regulation of gamekeeping, including related and subordinate legislation, by which, in summary, the legal framework of gamekeeping and determination of the rules for hunting and game management are represented. Development of legal regulation of gamekeeping in the Czech Republic and its further perspectives The topic of this diploma thesis is the development of legal regulation of gamekeeping in the Czech Republic and its further perspectives. Its main goal is to describe and evaluate the development of legislation of gamekeeping in the Czech Republic, to point out the most important milestones in its history, which are also reflected in current legislation and whose knowledge is necessary to understand today's gamekeeping. Next, to critically evaluate the current legal regulation of gamekeeping especially in terms of legal theory and hunting practice, link its wording with valid case law and other legislation, warn against its deficiencies and, last but not least, in selected areas to determine the direction in which Czech gamekeeping legislation should be further developed in order to preserve wild animals as a renewable natural resource and gamekeeping tradition for future generations. Legal Framework of Conditions for Game Hunting The aim of this rigorosum thesis is to describe and compare the legal regulation of game hunting conditions in the Czech Republic. It focuses especially on the legal regulation of the conditions for game hunting according to the Hunting Act and the legal regulation of the conditions for fishing according to the Fisheries Act. Generally, the thesis also analyses the common terms related to fishing and game hunting (eg. the terms fishing district or hunting ground). The attention is paid not only to the current legislation, but the work also covers the historical development of the legal regulation of conditions for game hunting and fishing. Hunting has been accompanying humans since time immemorial and its conditions have evolved over time as society has evolved. This thesis also deals with the rules of game hunting contained in the Act on the Protection of Animals against Cruelty and in the Act on the Protection of Nature and the Landscape. Hepatitis E infection in hunters from wild cloven-hoofed game animals

Introduction: In the last ten years there has been a rapid increase of hepatitis E cases (hereinafter as HEV) in the Czech Republic and European Union. In accordance with findings from recent years the prevalence of this infection in boars, deer, roe deer, fallow deer and other cloven-hoofed game has risen too. Under Czech law these animals can be hunted by hunters who are the first ones to come into contact with the hunted animals in the greatest extent which entails the highest risk of infection. This Diploma Thesis deals with viral hepatitis E as an acute zoonotic virus transmissible from wild cloven-hoofed animals to hunters. The author sought to determine the level of awareness of the hunting society of the risks of infection, their awareness of this infection and protection against it to improve possible protection. The theoretic part of the Diploma Thesis deals with, including, but not limited to, basic information about viral hepatitis. Hunting - educational program for secondary level of primary schools

In this theses there was suggested the learning program covering the topic of gamekeeping and pupils of the ninth grade of the elementary school were tested on this topic. In total 196 pupils from 7 elementary schools from the South Bohemian region took part of the testing. The test had a form of non-standardized didactical test. The test efficiency was checked by the system of pretests and posttests (pupils took the best before and after the learning programme) in three different elementary school classes. The results show that pupils have a basic knowledge of gamekeeping and that the participation in the learning programme broadened this knowledge even further.

Legal Framework of Conditions for Game Hunting

The main goal of this rigorous thesis is to analyse the legal framework for game hunting in the Czech Republic and its historical development in order to suggest some possible improvements of its shortcomings. The main focus is concentrated on the legal framework for gamekeeping and fishing. This rigorous thesis does compare also the local Czech legislation with the international law and with the legal framework in the European Union. A special attention is paid to the comparison of the Czech legislation for game hunting with its Slovakian equivalent.

Realizační program je rozdělen do částí: 1. Způsoby nakládání s odpady v zemědělství. 2. Vyhodnocení a rozpracování provedené SWOT analýzy současného stavu nakládání s BRO. 3. Technicko-ekonomická analýza současného stavu nakládání s BRO (současné a plánované kapacity zařízení pro nakládání s BRO, základní technicko-ekonomické údaje o nakládání s BRO, databázový informační systém, technicko-ekonomická analýza možností využití bioplynu v podmínkách ČR). 4. Postupy vedoucí ke snižování hlavních rizik při nakládání s BRO (prevence a souběžná minimalizace zdravotních rizik při nakládání s biodegradabilním odpadem v rámci Realizačního programu ČR pro BRO, rizika, spojená s kompostováním rybničního bahna a lesních odpadů. 5. Environmentální přijatelnost stavu nakládání s biologicky rozložitelnými odpady (současně platná česká legislativa týkající, se ochrany životního prostředí ve vztahu k problematice nakládání s BRO, zejména potom jejich zpracovávání kompostováním, sociální faktory v odpadovém hospodářství). 6. Vzorové příklady nakládání s odpady dané komodity v ČR, státech EU apod. (vzorová zařízení, zpracovávající BRO v ČR). 7. Opatření, vedoucí k dosažení cílů POH ČR v oblasti nakládání s BRO, prostřednictvím nástrojů z oblasti legislativní, administrativní, ekonomické, dobrovolné apod.
